2nd Grade: Steady beat Vs. Rhythm: Using the song “In Right Out Right” students will move to the beat and tap rhythm of the words. They will also recognize quarter note, eighth note, half note, and quarter rest.
1st Grade: Steady Beat vs. Rhythm: Students will sing the song “Bounce High” and keep the beat while the ball is bounced to them. I will introduce eighth and quarter notes using this song and the stuents will identify those rhythms in the song.
Kindergarten: 4 Voices/Steady Beat: The students use their 4 voices (whisper, shout, sing, and speak) in a game using the “super special” microphone. Students will also identify/show the steady beat in multiple songs by taping it on their legs, clapping it, and marching to it.
